6th IMPCA MINI CONFERENCE AMERICA

New Orleans, Louisiana – February, 8–9, 2018

Returning once again to the vibrant heart of the French Quarter, the 6th IMPCA Mini Conference America welcomed delegates from across the methanol industry to New Orleans.

The event began with a golf outing at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, co-sponsored by Mitsubishi International Corp. and Tricon Energy. With bus transfers provided from the Hotel Monteleone, participants enjoyed a full day of informal networking on the course before gathering in the evening for the Official Opening & Networking Event. This year’s reception took place at the Napoleon Wine Room above the historic Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street – just steps away from the conference hotel.

Friday’s business session offered a comprehensive look at developments in the methanol market, featuring expert presentations on topics such as the global outlook, marine fuel regulations, formaldehyde production, and renewable methanol pathways. Speakers from Argus Media, Nexant, Alantum, MMSA, and Stralsund University of Applied Sciences contributed to an engaging and future-oriented program.

Accompanied by a continental breakfast and coffee networking break, the 6th edition of the Mini Conference in North America successfully continued IMPCA’s mission of fostering dialogue and knowledge-sharing within the global methanol community – all in the unique setting of New Orleans.
